The Daily Stormer is an American "alternative news" website that takes an "alt-right" and less formal stance, having Andrew Anglin as its founder and editor. The website has gained a lot of popularity due to various reasons, such as being censored by mainstream search engines, such as Google, and censored by Cloudflare; besides, it has been criticized by many groups, including other white nationalist groups and "troll groups".

The often called "troll army" is a frequently criticized point of Daily Stormer and its founder, being simply when its users are "summoned as a personal army" to act in Andrew Anglin's objectives.
It is criticized by leftist groups and individuals as "spreading hate" through message spam and insults by the various visitors of the website, that "personal army" being used in "defense of free speech". Other non-leftist people criticizing it through the say "the Internet is not your personal army".
It came to attention in October 2014 in a campaign against Luciana Berger, a Jewish British Member of Parliament who had a man sent to prison for sending her abusive messages over Twitter. The Daily Stormer encouraged its readers to send her antisemitic messages, as long as they did not promote violence. It also gave out guidelines on how to limit traceability and create anonymous e-mail and Twitter accounts. Berger claimed to have received 400 abusive messages in one week. The abuse was brought up in the British Parliament, where Speaker John Bercow deemed it "beneath contempt".
The "Troll Army" launched another campaign in February 2015, against Mariam Veiszadeh, an Australian Muslim activist who ordered for a t-shirt she perceived to be bigoted to be withdrawn from sale at Woolworths, and had a woman arrested for sending her abusive messages. Anglin interpreted Veiszadeh's actions as curbing freedom of speech, which "should be responded to with the most ridiculous conceivable hateful speech" because "the vast majority of White people do not think name-calling should be an imprisonable offense." Around 3,000 users defended her with the hashtag "#IStandWithMariam".

In Wikipedia, the page about Daily Stormer is protected, meaning editing the page is partially off-limits. Such is supposed to prevent "vandalism" though leftist takes and questionable assumptions are still present throughout the article.
That might show the constantly criticized aspect of Wikipedia and Wikimedia in general, as the "democratic" aspect is not present in pages they don't wish to be changed meanwhile biased edits are untouched, inclusions that might be considered right-wing are removed, controversial users are banned as well as free speech supporters. Ultimately what remains in most Wikipedia pages seem to be biased texts despite Wikipedia stating itself as the opposite.

They also attempted to get a Russian domain but were likewise booted. CloudFlare also booted them from their service, along with dozens of other supposed Neo Nazi websites which have also been perma-fucked from the world wide web. One might question of course, even as retarded as the Daily Stormer is, isn't this going a bit too far? Doesn't this pretty well shit all over free speech? And, well, yes it does! But that's a GOOD THING in this case. Why you ask? Simple, since corporate controlled DNS has now, ironcally, gone all SIEG HEIL on the world and has started burning sites like Hitler enjoyed burning books there is only one alternative... that is, alternative DNS configurations.
Remember, destruction breeds creation!
